The pagans know it as a place infused with heathen magic. Even the Mechanists buried their dead here. When the place was still a garden. They knew the magic would protect them, though they never fully trusted it. That's why they warded their tombs with machines. Yet with the Mechanists gone, no one remains to guard the Hollow. The city continues to sprawl outwards. A gang of street rogues has taken power in the Hollow. These rogues have been expelled from the more lucrative districts, finding welcome in the slums of the Hollow. And through all this, the Sibyl of Zealot’s Hollow watches from her high window. She's watched the Hollow warp from forest to slum. Through it all, the magic of the place has endured. But the Pagans tell me that someday even the land must eventually die. The Pagans gossip, and tell me that the Sibyl wants out. They say she’s foreseen the collapse of this profane place. Yet she’s also a prisoner. For her power is tied to the pagan magic of the place. If she escapes, she’ll lose all her powers of predestination and foresight. Why would the Sibyl yield all her power? Unless she knew the end had come. =================================================================================================== * Important Notes * This mission was built in NewDark Version 2.1 The new mantling is not required, by maybe just save yourself some hassle and turn it on (your choice). To turn it on, open the cam_ext.cfg file and where it says "enable new mantling code" uncomment the following line: new_mantle If you finish all your objectives and the mission doesn't end at once, just move around back and forth inside the little room until it does so. The mission might be resource intensive, so you might experience some lag. Make sure NewDark is configured to the best of its ability.
