Create a new folder called RES inside the SS2 install directory. 2. Move all the files ending in .CRF from the root of the SS2 directory to the newly created folder (there should be 16 of them). 3. Make a backup copy of INSTALL.CFG (located in the root of the SS2 directory). Just highlight it, then press CTRL-C, CTRL-V. 4. Open up INSTALL.CFG using Notepad. 5. Find the line that starts with "resname_base". Add "\res" to the first path in this line. For example: resname_base c:\games\shock2+f:\shock2 becomes... resname_base c:\games\shock2\res+f:\shock2 (where "c:" is the install drive, and "f:" is the CD-ROM drive) (this text was taken from the Installation Instructions that accompany the SHTUP texture pack) Your SS2-installation is mod-ready now? Fine! It runs with Darkloader 4.3 - if you don't use it: backup the following files (e.g. create a folder in your SS2-folder and put copies of all this files inside) - earth.mis - eng1.mis - eng2.mis - hydro1.mis - many.mis - medsci1.mis - ops2.mis - rec2.mis - rec1.mis - rec3.mis -cutscenes/cs1.avi -cutscenes/cs2.avi -cutscenes/cs3.avi Then simply unzip the Ponterbee.zip in your System Shock 2 main-folder. Then start playing ;-). This campaign runs fine with rebirth and SHTUP Beta 6, but it is NOT compertible with any gamesys mods. ********************************************************* *How to uninstall this mission* Copy the files from your backup-folder back in the System Shock 2 main-folder. Then delete the following folders: book, snd, snd2 and strings Open the folder 'Patch' and there delete the folder 'strings'.
